NLP PEOPLE, affiliated with the University of Tübingen, is seeking a computer scientist or computational linguist for the CLARIN and CLARIN-D projects. This full-time position involves working on web services and applications, requiring an M.Sc. or Ph.D. in relevant fields and proficiency in Java. Ideal candidates will possess strong skills in user interface design and good command of both German and English.
For the CLARIN and CLARIN-D projects, we are searching for a computer scientist or
computational linguist with expertise and experience in one or more of the following areas: (scalable) web services, web applications, linked data, user interface design and implementation, including usability and user experience.
University of Tübingen
Programming experience in Java (or another object-oriented language) are required.
An M.Sc. in Computer Science or a Ph.D. in Linguistics, Computational Linguistics, Computer Science, or related field is required.
Good command of German and good communication skills in English are expected.
The starting date for this full-time position is June 1st, 2015. The initial period of appointment is until May 31st, 2016, with the possibility of renewal subject to follow-up funding.
