For an international, financially stable and innovation-driven ingredients manufacturer, we are looking for a commercially minded Portfolio Manager to strengthen the global direction, growth and profitability of a strategic product category.
Your Mission
In this role, you will manage and further develop a global product portfolio within the functional ingredients market. You will combine market insight, category strategy, pricing discipline and cross-functional stakeholder management to support profitable growth and long-term portfolio performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and drive global product category strategies to grow the portfolio, improve profitability and shape the long-term direction of the business.
- Monitor market trends, customer needs and competitor activity, translating insights into clear strategic recommendations.
- Contribute to target and minimum pricing decisions and support pricing deviation approvals to optimize bottom-line results.
- Evaluate the commercial potential and margin impact of service requests and portfolio initiatives.
- Oversee, challenge and prioritize the project pipeline to ensure efficient execution and strong business relevance.
- Identify and communicate new business opportunities to sales, technical service and business intelligence stakeholders.
- Ensure sales teams have accurate, up-to-date product information, commercial argumentation and customer-facing support material.
- Maintain close engagement with key customers to understand evolving needs, identify opportunities and build sustainable relationships.
- Work closely with international teams across sales, marketing, R&D, regulatory, supply chain and operations.
Your Profile
- Master's degree in Food Science, Nutrition, Bio-Engineering, Business or a related discipline, or at least 5 years of relevant experience in a comparable role.
- Strong nutritional or food ingredient background.
- Proven commercial experience within B2B ingredients, food, nutrition or related industries.
- Experience in product management, portfolio management or category management.
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to translate market insights into pragmatic strategic actions.
- Excellent communication, influencing and stakeholder management skills.
- Comfortable working in an international, matrix-oriented and cross-functional environment.
- Fluent English is essential; additional languages are considered an advantage.
