Portfolio Manager – Ebury Dusseldorf

We are looking for a client Portfolio Manager in our Dusseldorf Office with proven dealing, trading and account management experience. The successful candidate will manage a portfolio of clients taking responsibility for trading account set up, relationship management and deal execution.
What You’ll Do
- Manage a portfolio of corporate clients, executing a range of products including FX hedging, lending, payments and cash management. Upsell Ebury’s broad product capabilities to deliver a best‑in‑class client proposition.
- Collaborate with the sales team to assist in business origination. Understand clients’ business environments and strategies to provide the best solution using Ebury’s product suite.
- Know and understand the competition’s capabilities and gaps to better position Ebury’s banking solutions.
- Deliver on dealer‑specific KPIs, including repeat and new business revenues, reducing client churn, upselling cross‑selling products and increasing wallet share.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships through meetings, confidently presenting ideas, proposals and updates.
- Expand existing business and provide feedback to technology and product managers.
- Originate new business via networking with existing clients for referrals.
What You’ll Need
- Strong financial services experience in sales or relationship management; an established network of contacts is an advantage.
- Experience in an FX institution or commercial bank, or selling financial instruments to SMEs and corporate clients.
- Solid understanding of compliance requirements.
- Academic background in business or finance is a plus.
- Exceptional communication skills, able to win commitment and buy‑in.
- Sophisticated technical ability; statistical/fundamental analysis and risk management practices.
- Proven record of identifying and pursuing new business opportunities (upselling, cross‑selling, new client acquisition).
- Skilled negotiator, able to build and leverage relationships at senior levels.
- Fluency in German and strong business‑level English.
