A fast-scaling deep-tech startup is seeking a Polymer Technician (f/m/d) to optimize polyester-based polymer synthesis. You will plan and run polycondensation reactions, collaborate on trials, and ensure safety and quality standards. The ideal candidate has a background in chemistry and hands-on experience with polycondensation. Join us to drive innovation in the circular economy.

Polymer Technician (f/m/d) – aevoloop GmbH

Join to apply for the Polymer Technician (f/m/d) role at aevoloop GmbH

Plan, run and optimise kilogram‑scale polycondensation reactions to scale up our novel, sustainable polyester‑based polymers.

Execute batch and continuous polycondensation processes to synthesise aevoloop’s proprietary polyester‑based polymers on a 1–100kg batch scale to 1‑10 kg/h continuous scale.

Collaborate with CDMOs for external polymerisation trials and translate learnings into our in‑house processes.

Set up, clean and change over of polycondensation reactors and auxiliary equipment (strand granulation, thermostats and vacuum pumps) as well as preventive maintenance.

Record, structure and analyse polymerisation data and derive actionable optimisation proposals.

Ensure all safety, quality, and environmental standards are met at all times (including ATEX and GLP/GMP where applicable).

Your Profile

• Completed chemical technical apprenticeship (Chemical Technical Assistant, Chemical Technician) or B.Sc. or B.Eng. in chemistry, chemical engineering, polymer engineering or a related field. Additional training in process or plastics engineering would be advantageous.
• Solid foundation in organic polymer chemistry and hands‑on experience with polycondensation.
• Familiarity with high‑temperature/high‑pressure reactors, vacuum systems, and the related safety regulations.
• Demonstrated troubleshooting skills and a passion for experimental process optimisation.
• You bring a hands‑on mindset, structure your work efficiently, and collaborate seamlessly across disciplines – even under the dynamics of a fast‑paced start‑up environment.
