You will be the analytical core, performing NMR, IR, DSC, and titrations while supporting bench-scale polymer synthesis. You’ll maintain lab routines, calibrate instruments, and help draft SOPs in a GLP-compliant environment.

Ideal candidates have vocational CTA or chemist training, with practical bench experience and a proactive, team-focused mindset in a growing startup setting.

Your mission Join aevoloop, a deep-tech startup in Leipzig, where we are pioneering the next generation of circular plastics.

We are looking for a hands-on Chemical Technical Assistant (CTA) or Lab Technician who takes pride in their lab work. In this role, your primary focus will be on the precise "measuring" (analytics) of our materials, while reliably supporting the team with "making" (synthesis).

Analytics & Characterization:

You are the analytical core of our lab. You routinely perform instrumental and wet-chemical analyses to precisely characterisze our next-generation materials (e.g., NMR, IR spectroscopy, DSC, titrations).

Synthesis Execution:

You support syntheses (specifically polycondensations) on a bench and pilot scale, reliably and accurately executing reactions according to established standard operating procedures (SOPs).

Daily Lab Routine & Excellence:

You ensure smooth lab operations. This includes preparing and maintaining glassware, sample preparation, material drying, and general lab organization.

Precision & Documentation:

You ensure our measurement data is rock-solid. This includes regular calibration of analytical instruments, maintaining detailed lab journals, and assisting in drafting clear SOPs.

Safety & Organization:

You maintain a safe, high-standard working environment (GLP) and ensure analytical equipment is always ready for the next run.

Your profile Education:

Successfully completed vocational training as a CTA (Chemical Technical Assistant), Chemielaborant, or a similar technical background. Academic degrees or Techniker qualifications are considered, but this is a hands-on technical role where practical bench experience is our top priority.

Analytical Expertise:

Strong practical experience in general instrumental and wet-chemical analytics (especially NMR, IR, DSC, titration). Experience in specialized polymer testing (e.g., MFR/MFI, tensile testing) or prior experience in a plastics laboratory is a major plus!

Synthesis Experience:

Experience in carrying out organic syntheses safely according to protocol (SOPs). Specialized knowledge of polymers or reactors is advantageous, but not mandatory-we are happy to train you.

Technical Routine:

You feel "at home" in the lab. You are confident operating analytical instruments, preparing samples, and performing routine instrument calibrations.

Mindset:

You bring a "maker" mentality. You are detail-oriented, reliable, and enjoy the dynamic, collaborative energy of a scaling startup.

Languages:

Working knowledge of English (sufficient for technical documentation and day-to-day team communication) is required. German is a plus, but not necessary.
