Zusammenfassung

Accenture DACH in Germany seeks a proactive Planning Engineer to develop and maintain schedules for complex infrastructure, energy, or industrial projects. You will apply Primavera P6, monitor progress, analyze risks, and support change management to keep programmes on track.

You will collaborate with project teams, implement EVM where applicable, and mentor junior planners while ensuring robust reporting and adherence to contractual deadlines.

Qualifikationen

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or related technical discipline; equivalent experience considered.
  • Proven experience as Planning Engineer or Project Planner in infrastructure, construction, energy, or industrial projects.
  • Strong proficiency with Primavera P6 (v8.2+) including resource planning and cost loading.
  • Solid understanding of critical path, schedule forecasting, and project controls.

Aufgaben

  • Develop, maintain, and manage project schedules across all project lifecycle phases.
  • Prepare and implement planning strategies aligned with objectives, milestones, and deadlines.
  • Establish baselines, manage updates, and secure approvals.
  • Monitor progress and forecast remaining activities and durations.
  • Produce schedule analyses, progress reports, and critical path assessments with risks and mitigations.
  • Support informed decision-making with cross-functional collaboration.
  • Apply schedule risk analyses and contingency planning to minimise delays.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain Earned Value Management (EVM) systems.
  • Mentor junior planners where appropriate.

Jobbeschreibung

You will play a key role in schedule development, progress monitoring, risk analysis, change management, and performance reporting, while supporting the successful delivery of complex infrastructure, energy, or industrial projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop, maintain, and manage project schedules covering all phases of the project lifecycle.
  • Prepare and implement project planning strategies that support project objectives, milestones, and contractual deadlines.
  • Develop and maintain network logic schedules using recognised planning methodologies.
  • Establish project baselines, manage schedule updates, and obtain the necessary approvals throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Monitor project progress by updating schedules with actual performance and forecasting remaining activities and durations.
  • Produce schedule analyses, progress reports, and critical path assessments, highlighting risks, delays, and recommended mitigation measures.
  • Work closely with Project Management, Engineering, Commercial, Construction, Clients, and Contractors to monitor project performance and support informed decision-making.
  • Perform schedule risk analyses and develop contingency plans to minimise programme delays.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain Earned Value Management (EVM) systems to measure project performance and progress.
  • Apply practical construction and planning knowledge to identify schedule constraints and recommend corrective actions.
  • Ensure robust change management processes are applied, maintaining a clear audit trail for all programme revisions.
  • Support continuous improvement of planning processes, methodologies, and reporting standards.
  • Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior planners where appropriate.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Project Management, or a related technical discipline. Equivalent professional experience may be considered in place of a degree.
  • Proven experience as a Planning Engineer or Project Planner within infrastructure, construction, engineering, energy, or industrial projects.
  • Strong experience using Primavera P6 (Version 8.2 or later), including resource planning and cost loading where applicable.
  • Experience developing and maintaining complex, logic-driven project schedules.
  • Sound understanding of project planning principles, critical path analysis, schedule forecasting, and project controls.
  • Strong analytical, organisational, and problem‑solving skills.
  • Excellent communication skills with the confidence to challenge project assumptions and facilitate progress discussions.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Microsoft Excel.
  • Experience working within multidisciplinary and matrix project environments.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working under NEC3 or similar international contract forms, with a good understanding of planning and programme requirements.
  • Formal qualification or certification in project planning, scheduling, or project management.
  • Practical on‑site construction experience.
  • Knowledge of Earned Value Management (EVM), schedule risk analysis, and change control processes.
  • Experience working in client‑facing or consultancy environments is advantageous.
