The role requires 2+ years of plan check experience, familiarity with BlueBeam and AutoCAD, and willingness to work full-time from within CA, AZ, CO, UT, or NV.

Qualifikationen

• Professional Civil or Structural Engineer.
• ICC Certified Plans Examiner with knowledge of International Building Codes.

• Minimum 2 years in a design firm plan check or jurisdictional plan review.

• Based in California, Arizona, Colorado, Utah, or Nevada.

• Review plans, calculations and specifications for compliance with the most current adopted ordinances, laws, and state building codes
• Prepare plans review comment letters according to municipality direction and SCA standards
• Meet and confer with clients as needed via phone, email, virtual meeting, or in-person to clarify plan check comments

Requirements

• Professional Civil or Structural Engineer
• ICC Certified Plans Examiner with complete knowledge and full understanding of the International model building codes and standard construction methods
• Ability to review all structural systems and additional building systems as needed (i.e., architectural, accessibility, mechanical, plumbing, electrical, energy, and green/sustainability)
• Minimum 2 years of experience working for an engineering design firm or alternatively 2 (or more) years working as a Plan Check Engineer for a jurisdiction providing design or plan check reviews for both commercial and residential project types
• Basic computer knowledge related to Microsoft Office products and various plan review software such as BlueBeam (or similar AutoCad based products)
• Bachelor's degree in civil or structural engineering from an accredited college
• Must successfully complete standard background investigation
• Full-time availability
• Must be based within California, Arizona, Colorado, Utah, or Nevada
