Zusammenfassung

Jobtailor is seeking a skilled CAD Drafting and Surveying professional to prepare and review calculations and staking drawings for residential projects, including houses, additions, subdivisions, and as-built surveys.

You will work under the Drafting Manager, manage multiple projects, ensure accuracy, and communicate with clients. Proficiency in Civil 3D, STARS, and related software is expected, with a strong detail-orientation and deadline-driven mindset.

Qualifikationen

• Experience with CAD drafting and surveying calculations.

• Construction surveying, land surveying, civil engineering, or residential construction experience is a plus.
• Minimum of high school diploma/GED diploma required.
• Associates / Technical Degree or higher preferred.
• 4+ years of professional drafting experience in surveying industry.
• Applied CAD experience.
• Proven Civil 3D and survey experience.

Aufgaben

• Prepare and review calculations and staking drawings for residential construction, including houses, additions, subdivisions, dirt work, and as-built surveys.
• Review foundation closures, including square, rotation, and setbacks.
• Review and add interior walls to slabs based on client staking requests.
• Perform calculations and prepare Plot & Drive staking drawings.
• Draw property boundaries and adjust boundaries to aerial imagery.
• Calculate search points for property corners, foundation offsets, and proposed foundations.
• Place houses based on third-party site plans.
• Prepare calculations and drawings for additions.
• Create master staking drawings for new subdivisions.
• Compare recorded plats against CAD files and identify discrepancies.
• Add centerline control, label recorded plats, and upload completed files into STARS.

• Review foundation closures, including square, rotation, and setbacks
• Review and add interior walls to slabs based on client staking requests
• Perform calculations and prepare Plot & Drive staking drawings
• Draw property boundaries and adjust boundaries to aerial imagery
• Calculate search points for property corners, foundation offsets, and proposed foundations

• Create separate surfaces for calculating dirt quantities
• Prepare and distribute completed dirt calculations to designated client contacts
• Prepare closing as-builts for Rockford using its specialized title block and workflow
• Work under the supervision of the Drafting Manager
• Manage multiple projects and meet deadlines

Requirements

• Experience with CAD drafting and/or surveying calculations
• Ability to read and interpret site plans, construction plans, and recorded plats
• Strong mathematical and analytical skills
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to identify discrepancies between drawings, plats, and field information
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
• Comfortable learning client-specific procedures and software
• Construction surveying, land surveying, civil engineering, or residential construction experience is a plus
