Zusammenfassung

Jobtailor is seeking a licensed Civil Engineer to lead site analysis, planning, erosion control, grading, storm water management, and utilities design for diverse projects. You will interact with clients, contractors, and officials, coordinating with sub-consultants and project staff.

You will drive design from concept through permitting and construction administration, requiring ABET-degree and PE licensure, with strong CAD skills and proficiency in MS Office. Travel to sites will be required.

Qualifikationen

• 5+ years of experience in the engineering industry.
• ABET-accredited civil engineering degree.
• PE license in at least one U.S. state.
• NCEES membership preferred.
• Equivalent education/experience considered.
• Knowledge of municipal, state, and federal site regulations.
• Knowledge of permitting processes and project scheduling.
• Ability to interpret codes and communicate with officials.
• Proficient with AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and MS Office.
• Willingness to travel to project sites and work independently or in a team.

• Review civil drawings submitted by outside civil engineers.
• Support project management, contracting, scheduling, and consultant communications.

• Meet with contractors for construction administration and design clarifications
• Review civil drawings submitted by outside civil engineers
• Support project management, contracting, scheduling, and consultant communications
• Support construction administration activities on behalf of clients
• Conduct field inspections and review contractor schedules and progress

Requirements

• 5 or more years of experience within the engineering industry
• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET accredited program
• Licensed P.E. in at least one state in the U.S.
• National Council of Examiners for Engineering and Surveying (NCEES) current member preferred
• Equivalent combinations of education and experience will be considered
• Knowledge of municipal, state, and federal regulations impacting site development
• Knowledge of the site permitting process and project scheduling lead times
• Ability to interpret relevant codes and communicate with code officials
• Proficiency with AutoDesk products such as AutoCAD and Civil 3D
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite
• Ability to travel to sites and traverse uneven or undeveloped terrain
• Ability to communicate clearly and effectively in English, orally and in writing
• Ability to visually survey, measure, and assess project sites and construction
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
