A research institution in Germany is offering a PhD position under the CRC-TRR 211 project focusing on theoretical computations related to the quantum chromodynamics effects in the early Universe. Candidates must hold a master's degree in physics or related fields, with documented knowledge in quantum field theory, particle physics, and cosmology. The position will remain open until filled, following the official application deadline of January 15, 2026.
The PhD project is part of the CRC-TRR 211 "Strong-Interaction Matter under Extreme Conditions". You will work on theoretical computations to determine the QCD effects on electroweak rates in the early Universe.
We expect a master's degree in physics, or equivalent by the start of the position. Documented knowledge of quantum field theory, particle physics, and cosmology are required.
For more details including the required experience, documents and application form see the official announcement. The official deadline for application is January 15, 2026, however, later applications will be accepted until the positions are filled.
