A leading research university in Germany seeks a doctoral researcher to investigate cellular and molecular mechanisms of COPD. The role involves planning and conducting experiments, analyzing data, and contributing to scientific publications. Candidates should have a Master's degree in life sciences and laboratory experience. This position offers a PhD stipendium for 3 years starting March 2026 and opportunities for continuous education and mentorship.
The successful candidate will join the team led by Dr. Marija Gredić and investigate cellular and molecular mechanisms underlying pathological changes in COPD and the role of innate immunity in pulmonary vascular alterations associated with this disease. This work will consist of planning, performing and troubleshooting experiments, and preparation of abstracts and manuscripts for peer-review journals. The candidate will be responsible to ensure the conduct and compliance of research studies according to good research practice, and will contribute to maintain day-to-day laboratory working efficiency.
