The PhD candidate will be part of the research group on “Aggressive Lymphomas” led by Prof. Dr. Georg Lenz in the Department of Medicine A. We offer an excellent research infrastructure with access to state-of-the-art equipment, a stimulating multidisciplinary, translational and international research environment, broad expertise in cancer biology, a motivated research team, and intensive mentoring - ideally with you on board!

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • You will elucidate the molecular mechanisms driving the development of distinct malignant lymphoma subtypes and contribute to the identification of predictive biomarkers and novel therapeutic target structures, with the goal of improving molecular classification, diagnosis, and individualized treatment strategies.
  • Independent planning and execution of experiments, including thorough documentation and analysis of research data.
  • Development of experimental strategies to investigate and test scientific hypotheses.
  • Presentation of research findings and preparation of scientific publications to disseminate results in peer-reviewed journals.
REQUIREMENTS
  • University degree (Master, Diploma or equivalent) in biology, biochemistry, molecular medicine or an equivalent discipline.
  • Solid theoretical and practical expertise in protein biochemistry, molecular biology, or cell biology.
  • Strong interest in basic and translational cancer research.
  • Team player, who thrives by working in interdisciplinary teams.
  • Interested in using a broad range of biochemical, molecular, and cellular techniques.
