A prominent German university in Frankfurt is seeking a Research Assistant / doctoral candidate to conduct research on decision-making and provide teaching in Cognitive Psychology II. The ideal candidate has a Master’s degree in Psychology, programming skills in Python, and excellent English proficiency. This role offers a part-time position within a supportive research and teaching team, encouraging interdisciplinary collaboration and participation in international conferences.

The Department of Psychology and Sports Science at the Goethe University is offering a position in the working group Cognitive Psychology II (Learning & Memory, Emotion & Motivation) starting on 01.04.2026 for a Research Assistant / doctoral candidate (m/f/d).
(E 13 TV-G-U, 65% part-time)
Initially for a limited period of three years. The salary grade is based on the job characteristics of the collective agreement applicable to Goethe University (TV-G-U).

An interest in the analysis of resting-state brain data (EEG or fMRI) and genotype data is an advantage, but not a requirement.
Supportive supervision and productive discussions in a small but highly reflective and broadly interested research and teaching team, supported by student assistants. We are open to a wide range of research approaches, including neuroscientific and behavioral methods (e.g., economic games), semiqualitative methods, online studies and questionnaire development. We encourage interdisciplinary collaboration and participation in international conferences.
