Unframe, an AI-powered startup in Berlin, seeks a People Operations Lead to shape growth, culture, and people strategies. The role blends strategic thinking with hands-on execution and close partnership with managers and employees.

It’s a hybrid role requiring in-person presence several days a week. You will own the end-to-end employee lifecycle, partner with EOR providers, and drive engagement and scalable HR processes across a global workforce.

Competenze

• 8+ years of HRBP/People Ops experience in fast-paced environments.
• Experience supporting globally distributed teams with US employment practices.
• Experience managing global employment through EOR providers (onboarding, lifecycle, compliance).
• Experience in high-growth startups or similar environments.
• Fluency in English (written and spoken); strong interpersonal skills.

About The Role

We’re looking for an People Operations Lead to help shape how we grow - as a team, as a culture, and as a company. This is a hands-on, high-impact role for someone who thrives in fast-paced startup environments and enjoys partnering closely with managers and employees. You'll combine strategic thinking with operational excellence, ensuring our people processes scale alongside our business.

This is a hybrid role, and we’re looking for someone who enjoys working in person and can join the team in our office a few days each week.

What You’ll Do

• Partner closely with managers and team leads across EMEA and the US to support team growth, performance, and employee development.
• Own the end-to-end employee lifecycle for our global workforce, from offer stage and onboarding through development and offboarding, partnering closely with Employer of Record (EOR) providers.
• Serve as a trusted advisor to managers and employees on people-related matters in a global, cross-cultural environment.
• Lead and continuously improve core HR processes, including performance reviews, feedback cycles, goal setting, and talent planning.
• Coach and support managers through complex employee relations and people challenges across multiple geographies.
• Drive initiatives that enhance employee engagement, company culture, and the overall employee experience across distributed teams.
• Ensure People operations, policies, and processes are scalable, compliant, and aligned with business needs as the company grows.

What We’re Looking For

• 8+ years of experience in an HR Business Partner, People Operations, or similar role.
• Experience supporting globally distributed teams, with a strong understanding of US employment practices and work culture.
• Experience managing global employment through Employer of Record (EOR) providers, including onboarding, employee lifecycle management, and compliance.
• Experience working in a high-growth startup or other fast-paced environment.
• Comfortable collaborating across multiple time zones.
• Native-level fluency in English, both written and spoken.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build trusted relationships across cultures and organizational levels.
• Proven experience coaching managers through performance, organizational, and employee relations challenges.
• High emotional intelligence, sound judgment, and a pragmatic approach to problem‑solving.
• Comfortable navigating ambiguity and adapting as priorities evolve.
• Experience with organizational development, leadership coaching, or talent management is a plus.
