Jobtailor in Magdeburg, Saxony-Anhalt, is seeking a Payroll Specialist to join our HR team. You will manage monthly payroll, validate payslips, and serve as the main contact for salary questions, ensuring accuracy and compliance.

You will also handle personnel administration, pensions under BetrAVG, and HR reporting, while maintaining data in Workday and collaborating with the team on cross-functional projects.

Qualifikationen

• At least three years of payroll experience in a comparable role, with relevant training or certification.

• Prepare the monthly payroll on time and transmit all payroll-relevant data to our external service provider, working closely with your colleague.
• Review and validate the generated payslips for plausibility and act as the point of contact for employees on salary-related questions.
• Reliably handle personnel administration — from employment contracts and employee personnel files to deadline tracking — and coordinate cross‑functional matters with the team.
• Manage the company pension scheme in accordance with the German Occupational Pensions Act (BetrAVG) and administratively oversee our benefits portfolio.
• Maintain our personnel data in Workday, produce HR reports and actively share insights with the team.

Requirements

• You have relevant experience in payroll with at least three years of professional experience in a comparable position, ideally substantiated by appropriate training or certification.
• You have strong knowledge of social security, tax and employment law.
• You have experience with HR systems, ideally with Workday or a comparable system.
• You work in a structured and careful manner and communicate clearly, with a pronounced sense of responsibility and a confident manner when interacting with internal and external partners.
