Bayhealth invites experienced Registered Nurses to join the Sussex Campus team on a per diem basis. The role focuses on direct patient care in an acute setting, with patient-centered planning, accurate documentation, and collaboration with physicians to ensure quality outcomes.

Candidates should hold an RN license with BLS; ACLS/PALS may be required per manager's direction. Per diem status offers flexible shifts and exposure to diverse clinical settings.

Qualifikationen

• Education: Associate Degree in Nursing or Nursing Diploma.
• Credentials: RN license and Basic Life Support; ACLS/PALS may be required.
• Experience: Required; preferred in a relevant specialty.

SALARY RANGE: 37.98 - 58.87 HOURLY

General Summary

The Registered Nurse provides professional nursing care to patients within a assigned unit with a commitment to quality and safety. Professional nursing practices, requiring specialized knowledge judgment and skill are performed using the process in accordance with hospital policy, procedures and nursing philosophy.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct, professional nursing care to specified population of patients in the acute care setting.
• Develops a patient centered plan of care based on individualized needs.
• Maintains confidentiality of the patient medical record.
• Counsel and educate patients and their care partner on treatment plans.
• Administer medication following the five rights of medication administration.
• Provide wound care and dressing changes, as applicable.
• Read and interpret patient information, making treatment decisions, when appropriate.
• Consult with physicians to decide on best treatment decisions when appropriate
• Performs nursing interventions to achieve optimal patient outcomes.
• Observe and record patient behavior and response to nursing interventions.
• Demonstrates quality, safe and effective patient care.
• Provides delegation to unlicensed assistive staff and Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) staff
• Demonstrates standards of excellence which includes practicing nursing with core values of compassion, accountability, respect, teamwork and integrity.
• Demonstrates understanding and executes quality and performance improvement plans. (only for RN evaluation)
• Participates in decision making and takes actions based on ethical principles. (only for RN evaluation)
• Provides timely and accurate documentation of patient care.
• All other duties as assigned within the scope and range of job responsibilities.

Required Education, Credential(s) and Experience

• Education: Associate Degree Nursing Or Nursing Diploma.
• Credential(s): Registered Nurse; Basic Life Support; *ACLS / PALS may be required per manager’s direction and timeframe *Commit to seeking specialty certification within time frame as indicated during interview
