Zusammenfassung

Large Space Structures GmbH is seeking a motivated Product Assurance Engineer to support inspections, non-conformance reports, and FMEA to ensure product quality across multiple space projects.

You will interface with manufacturing, engineering, and supply chain to drive corrective actions and audit readiness, ensuring compliance with ECSS and ISO standards in a fast-paced, multinational environment.

Qualifikationen

• Experience with European space industry standards (ECSS, NASA) and related quality systems.
• Master’s degree or higher is beneficial.
• At least 3 years in PA/QA within aerospace.
• Strong knowledge of Product Assurance, Safety and Quality Management.
• Experience in configuration management or quality auditing is beneficial.
• Excellent English skills; German beneficial but not required.
• Proficiency in documentation control and design review processes.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Aufgaben

• Conduct product assurance activities across development and production.

• Develop and maintain inspection plans, test protocols, and qualification reports.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
• Participate in milestones such as PDR, CDR, QR.

Tasks

• Product assurance activities throughout product development and production.
• Interface with manufacturing, engineering, and supply chain teams to ensure product quality and compliance.
• Lead/support root cause analysis and corrective/preventive actions (CAPA) for product issues in scope of non-conformity process.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements (e.g., ECSS Standards, ISO 9001, AS9100, ISO 13485, etc.).
• Conduct Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA).
• Oversee product testing and validation processes.
• Ensure compliance with technical specifications and regulatory standards.
• Support internal and external audits.
• Develop/update and maintain documentation including inspection plans, test protocols, and qualification reports.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives.
• Perform internal NRB, non-conformances and internal MRRs, TRRs.
• Participate in Projects Milestones as PDR, CDR, QR.

Requirements

• Experience and thorough knowledge of applying the standards relating to the European space industry (ESA-ECSS, NASA, etc.) as well as experience with Space Quality Standards and their preparation and implementation.
• Master’s degree in engineering or technical sciences is beneficial.
• At least 3 years’ experience in PA/QA Engineering capacity within the European space/aerospace industries.
• Strong knowledge of Product Assurance, Safety and Quality Management disciplines and ECSS standards.
• Experience in configuration management, quality auditing or assessor certification are beneficial.
• Excellent English skills (oral and written), German is beneficial but not necessary.
• Proficiency in documentation version control, design review and sign-off processes.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Self-motivated team player, flexible and willing to learn with a highly detail-oriented approach.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• You have the ability to cope well under pressure and work within tight timeframes.
