An open-source technology company in Germany is searching for a motivated team member passionate about infrastructure automation and open-source technologies. As part of a remote-first team, you will utilize tools like Terraform and Kubernetes to enhance system reliability and scalability. The OX Cloud team is at the heart of Open-Xchange to make millions of users worldwide happy by supplying them our open-source products. We collaborate with various engineering teams to automate deployment processes, increase system reliability, and enhance scalability. We drive diverse non-functional feature of our products like availability, reliability, security, and observability in close collaboration with all the other engineering teams. Yes, this is a very communicative team.
Technology-wise, we work with Linux, Kubernetes, and various components of the CNCF ecosystem, such as Prometheus and Grafana. We use automation tools like Terraform, Ansible, and Chef, as well as a mix of databases including key-value stores and MariaDB / MySQL with Galera clustering. For object storage, we rely on S3. Our CI / CD pipelines are managed with GitLab (gitlab-ci), and we use PagerDuty for incident management. Our scripting languages of choice are Python and Shell.
