To accelerate our success and growth within the European market, Edmund Optics GmbH is looking for an Order Entry & Customer Service Advisor. The role involves issuing quotations, processing customer orders and returns, account creation, credit checking, and providing email, telephone, and web‑chat support to our customers. This support includes responding to general queries, issuing return authorisations, and providing information on existing orders.

Essential Functions

• Processing standard orders, scheduling agreements and web orders using SAP
• Providing customer service support via email, telephone and web chat in a timely and professional manner
• Creating customer accounts and credit checking existing and new accounts
• Providing quotations for standard optics
• Managing open sales orders and expediting purchase orders
• Processing return requests through CRM, and returned orders through SAP, and related stock transactions
• Co‑communicating actively and collaborating with internal departments such as Sales, Supply Chain and Finance
• Following up customer and internal queries in a timely manner
• Capturing customer feedback to constantly improve our service

Qualifications

• Working experience in a customer service role within a similar environment
• Able to provide an excellent customer experience
• Precision and attention to detail
• Professional demeanour and excellent communication skills (incl. exceptional telephone manner)
• Flexible and adaptable approach to work
• Good computer literacy (high‑level proficiency with MS Office programs) and ability to learn new systems (experience with SAP advantageous)
• Previous experience with email management platforms (e.g. Esker) to manage customer enquiries and workflows would be an advantage
• Fluency in English (written and spoken) is required; additional language skills in French or German would be beneficial
