Qualifikationen

Join Isar Aerospace and play key role in building next-generation launch vehicles. As an Orbital Welding Technician, you will support prototype and series production by operating, programming and inspecting orbital welding processes for critical aerospace components, ensuring the highest quality and safety standards.

Your Role in Our Space Mission
  • Operate orbital welding machines in prototype and production environments
  • Create, adapt and optimize welding programs
  • Prepare and inspect parts prior to welding
  • Inspect weld seams after welding and document results
  • Read and understand technical drawings and specifications
  • Work closely with engineering and manufacturing teams
  • Support continuous improvement of welding processes
  • Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards
Qualification Checklist
  • Technical/vocational education in manufacturing, welding or a related field
  • 3 - 5 years experience in a technical or industrial environment
  • Basic welding skills (orbital welding experience is an advantage)
  • Experience or strong interest in prototype manufacturing
  • Ability to read technical drawings
  • Basic computer skills for program handling and documentation
  • Careful, structured and quality-focused working style
  • Team-oriented with good communication skills
  • Fluent English language skills, German language skills are a plus
