Kelvion in Herne is seeking an Operational Excellence Engineer to drive lean transformations across our manufacturing operations. You will lead improvement projects using 5S, Value Stream Mapping, Kaizen, and Root Cause Analysis to cut waste and raise performance.

With 3+ years in industrial Continuous Improvement and strong English/German communication, you will coach teams, implement solutions on the shop floor, and promote sustainable, energy‑efficient production across sites.

Qualifikationen

• Degree in Engineering, Business, Production Technology, or a comparable field.
• At least 3 years of experience in Lean, Continuous Improvement, or Operational Excellence in an industrial environment.
• Solid knowledge of Lean tools; Six Sigma a plus; strong MS Office skills and ERP experience.
• Experience with tools such as MS Planner, Visio, Lucidchart, or Power BI is an advantage.
• Excellent communication skills in English and German; team-oriented and hands-on mindset.

You will identify and implement optimization opportunities using Lean, Continuous Improvement, and Operational Excellence methods such as 5S, Value Stream Mapping, Kaizen, Root Cause Analysis, and Gemba Walks. Your Role

• Lead Operational Excellence projects independently in close cooperation with all departments, including savings identification and cost analysis.
• Integrate improvements into daily operations with a strong shopfloor focus and ensure sustainable implementation.
• Moderate workshops and cross‑functional initiatives, and train and coach employees in OPX methods and tools.
• Perform value‑stream analyses, derive action plans, and report project progress, savings, and OPX successes.
• Collaborate across sites to create synergies and foster a culture of continuous improvement and accountability.

Your Background
