As an Optical Metrology Service Engineer, you'll play a key role in installing, commissioning, maintaining, and optimising sophisticated optical measurement equipment used in some of the world's most demanding manufacturing environments. Key Responsibilities

• Install, commission, and validate advanced optical metrology systems at customer sites.
• Perform preventative maintenance, calibration, and system upgrades to ensure maximum performance and reliability.

What We're Looking For

• Experience servicing or supporting optical metrology, semiconductor, photonics, microscopy, or precision measurement systems.
• Strong understanding of optical alignment, calibration, and precision instrumentation.
• Experience with customer‑facing installation, commissioning, or field service activities.
• Strong diagnostic and problem‑solving skills across optical, electrical, and mechanical systems.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to build trusted customer relationships.
• Willingness to travel across Germany and internationally when required.
• Degree or equivalent qualification in Physics, Photonics, Optical Engineering, Electronics, Mechatronics, or a related engineering discipline.
• Optical metrology techniques such as interferometry, confocal microscopy, white light interferometry, ellipsometry, or scatterometry.
• Semiconductor manufacturing equipment or wafer inspection systems.
• Laser systems, machine vision, or precision motion control.
• Programming or scripting experience with Python, MATLAB, or similar tools.
• Cleanroom or advanced manufacturing environments.
