Xylem is actively seeking an Operations Controller (m/f/d) for Xylem Analytics at our Mainz site (or Weilheim) to strengthen FP&A and Ops Finance. You will drive budgeting, forecasting and reporting, bridging global requirements with local needs and ensuring accuracy across the value chain.

Ideal candidates bring a Finance/Accounting degree, strong analytical skills, advanced Excel and ERP experience (SAP/QAD), and fluency in German and English. Join us to optimize inventory and cost performance.

Aufgaben

• Support Global FP&A and the Ops Finance with financial analysis and data preparation.
• Act as execution bridge between global FP&A requirements and local Operations Finance needs.
• Prepare insights and analyses for operational and financial reviews.
• Budgeting, Forecasting & Planning.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and monthly reporting processes.
• Prepare variance analysis and identify key cost and performance drivers.
• Support inventory reporting and integration into FP&A forecasts.
• Reporting, Analytics & Controllership.
• Prepare or support reconciliations, validations, and accuracy checks.
• Support collaboration with Accounting on close and reporting topics.
• Operations Finance, Inventory & Cost.
• Monitor stock balances, inventory movements and absorption.
• Perform inventory valuation including standard cost recalculations, usage, E&O and reconciliations.
• Support inventory spot checks and monitoring of inventory days.
• Monitor purchasing volumes including material and non-material.
• Track productivity figures from production ERP, Master Data & Systems.
• Monitor ERP master data including items and cost.
• Act as contact for item master and POC model topics.
• Monitor working orders history, incoming orders and backlog.

Key responsibilities

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field
• Strong analytical and reconciliation skills
• Advanced Excel skills and ERP experience (SAP or QAD preferred)
• Fluent in German and English

Preferred Qualifications

• Manufacturing or operations finance experience
• Experience with inventory, standard costing, and absorption
• Experience with OneStream, SAP, and BI tools
