Interroll Holding AG is seeking an Operational Technology (OT) Manager (m/w/d) to lead the installation, configuration and maintenance of manufacturing hardware and software across production sites. The role focuses on developing a global OT security framework, evaluating vendors, and coordinating OT/IT integration to improve efficiency and security.

Ideal candidates hold a Master’s degree in a relevant field, with 5+ years in industrial automation/IT+OT, and possess strong knowledge of OT

Qualifikationen

• Master’s degree in electrical/electronics/automation/computer science or related field.
• Minimum 5 years in industrial automation/IT+OT in manufacturing.
• Experience with OT frameworks and MES integration.
• Certifications in cybersecurity frameworks (IEC 62443, NIST SP 800-82, ISO/IEC 27001).
• Proficiency in English and German (C1).
• Willingness for frequent international travel.
• Strong problem solving and prioritization under pressure.
• Experience in project budgeting and vendor management.

Aufgaben

• Oversee installation, configuration and maintenance of manufacturing hardware and software (PLC, SCADA, HMI, MES).
• Develop and roll out a global OT security strategy for production environments.
• Assess vendors for OT equipment and software delivering secure OT solutions.
• Report to Interroll Security Board on cyber threats and mitigations.
• Coordinate OT configurations to improve efficiency, reduce costs and enhance security.
• Build a network of OT contacts across production sites and collaborate with central IT.
• Support network segmentation and OT safety against malware and cyberattacks.
• Visit plants to assess information security risks related to software and hardware.

What are my responsibilities?

• In constant exchange with local IT/OT functions, oversee the installation, configuration and maintenance of manufacturing hardware and software, including PLC, SCADA, HMI and MES systems
• Develop, roll‑out and take account for a global operational security strategy covering all OT assets in the company’s industrial and production environments
• Assess current and new vendors for equipment, software and support services in their ability to build and deliver secure OT applications and systems
• Report to governing bodies (e. g. Interroll Security Board) concerning new and emerging cyber threats
• Implement uniform OT technology, configurations and protocols to the degree applicable in order to improve efficiency, reduce costs and enhance security
• Create a network of local OT responsibles within the production companies together with MDs/Head of plants
• Actively cooperate with central IT functions in the upcoming network segmentation process, increasing OT safety against malware and cyberattacks
• Visit plants conducting assessments concerning information security risks related to software, hardware, third‑party applications

What do I need to qualify for this job?

• Master Degree in electrical engineering, electronics engineering, automation, computer science or comparable
• Minimum of 5 years’ of work experience in the field of industrial automation/IT+OT in a manufacturing environment
• Deep knowledge of OT relevant frameworks (e. g. industrial control systems, SCADA, etc.)
• Experience with MES (Manufacturing Execution Systems) as well as integrating OT level with MES
• Certified professional knowledge concerning cybersecurity frameworks (e. g. IEC 62443, NIST SP 800-82 and ISO/IEC 27001)
• Min. C1 in English and German, additional languages a strong plus
• Willingness for frequent international travel is required
• High capabilities in problem solving and prioritization, with proven capability of handling high‑pressure situations, troubleshooting and resolving complex technical issues to prevent equipment downtime
• Experience in managing projects of adequate size, including budgeting and resource allocation as well as experience in vendor management
