Zusammenfassung

Pyramid Global Hospitality is seeking a skilled line cook for The Quadrangle Club at the University of Chicago. The role emphasizes delivering high-quality food, maintaining consistency, and guest satisfaction in a fine dining setting.

You will work under the Executive Chef and Sous Chef, preparing soups, sauces, and plated items according to The Club’s standards, with strong emphasis on sanitation and teamwork. Two years of fine dining experience and culinary training are preferred.

Qualifikationen

  • Two years of fine dining experience required.
  • Culinary school or related training preferred.
  • Valid food handler certificate required.
  • Knowledge of soups, sauces, and cooking techniques.
  • Advanced knife skills and strong food preparation habits.
  • Origination and production knowledge.
  • Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Creative and positive personality.

Aufgaben

  • Maintain a commitment for guest service with focus on the highest quality food and consistency.
  • Prepare items designated by the Chef according to The Club’s standard recipes and policies.
  • Receiving food requisitions, check food products for quality and quantity.
  • Inform the Executive Chef or Sous Chef regarding proper preparation and the food requisitioning for upcoming functions.
  • Responsible for the care and cleanliness of kitchen equipment.
  • Inspect all refrigeration and dry storage for proper handling and rotation.
  • Ensure that banquet functions are properly broken down and reusable items are returned to the main kitchen and put on cafeteria shelf.
  • Maintain sanitation and safety standards.
  • Respond to any reasonable task assigned by the Executive Chef or Sous Chef.
  • Assist in other areas of the kitchen as needed.
  • Knowledge of kitchens and storage areas.
  • Knowledge of use, cleaning, and safe handling and breakdown of all equipment.

About our property:

The Quadrangle Club is the faculty and social club of the University of Chicago. Established in 1893, the Quadrangle Club has played and continues to be an important role in the intellectual fabric and life of the University of Chicago. Over the decades, the Club has been a place where Nobel laureates, faculty and numerous other scholars have hosted discussions about topics and ideas that have shaped the world. The Club is housed in a historic facility designed by Howard Van Doren Shaw.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
