Macquarie Group in Frankfurt is seeking an Off-Cycle Intern to support our Coverage and Solutions team. You will gain hands-on exposure to strategic advisory and financing activities across diverse sectors, contributing to live transactions and developing financial modelling and market analysis skills.

This 3-month internship (Q2–Q4 2027) offers a collaborative environment with experienced professionals and opportunities to participate in deal origination and execution.

Qualifikationen

• Completing final year, gap year, or recently completed degree in business/economics/finance/engineering or related field.
• Strong academic achievement with analytical, numerical and problem-solving skills.
• Fluent in German and English.
• Solid understanding of financial concepts with interest in advisory, capital raising and transaction execution.
• Previous internship in corporate finance advisory, M&A, private equity, transaction services, leveraged finance, or related field.

What role will you play?

As an Off-Cycle Intern within our Coverage and Solutions team, you will work alongside experienced colleagues to support strategic advisory and capital raising activities across a broad range of industries. Exposure to live transactions and client engagements will provide opportunities to develop financial modelling, market analysis and due diligence capabilities, while contributing to presentations, approval materials and transaction-related deliverables that support informed decision-making for our clients. Working as part of a collaborative generalist team, you will gain insight into both transaction origination and execution, building a broad understanding of advisory work and developing skills that contribute to successful client outcomes.

We are looking to fill 3‑month internship slots in Q2, Q3, and Q4 2027.

What You Offer

• You are completing your final year of study, taking a gap year, or recently completed a degree in business, economics, finance, engineering or a related discipline and are keen to gain practical experience in a fast‑paced environment.
• You demonstrate strong academic achievement together with excellent analytical, numerical and problem‑solving skills.
• You have fluent language skills in both German and English.
• You have a solid understanding of financial concepts and an interest in strategic advisory, capital raising and transaction execution.
• You bring previous internship experience within corporate finance advisory, mergers and acquisitions, private equity, transaction services, leveraged finance or a related field.
