The Life Sciences Associate position

Responsibilities

• Conducting primary and secondary research on markets, competitors, and customers, reviewing medical literature
• Performing rigorous strategic and financial analyses, using leading-edge software and techniques, to develop deep understanding of commercial issues
• Collaborating with team members to build on the scientific, medical and technical expertise that you bring to projects, to identify trends, draw conclusions, develop insights and transform those insights into actionable recommendations for the client
• Making L.E.K. an enjoyable and rewarding place to work by coaching colleagues and transferring skills, offering constructive advice, and contributing to a welcoming and friendly office culture

Who We Are Looking For

We are currently seeking exceptional and committed individuals with the ability to solve complex problems in a creative way with backgrounds in biosciences, medicine, biotechnologies and experience or strong interest into economics and business strategy related to Life Sciences.

Successful candidates typically possess outstanding academic achievements, are comfortable with quantitative analysis, have excellent verbal and written communication skills in German and English, relevant professional experience, and notable extracurricular interests. Fluency in another European language is considered an asset.

As a new Associate you will be supported with a comprehensive initial two-week orientation programme, followed by thorough monthly training sessions designed to complement your on-the-job experience. For those who go on to pursue roles in industry or Private Equity, the highly valuable commercial and analytical skill set, and broad commercial experience of an L.E.K.
