Major Responsibilities:

• Mine Planning & Design:

  • Determine the best techniques for mineral extraction based on geological data.
• Feasibility Studies:
  • Conduct technical and economic feasibility studies for potential mining sites.
  • Evaluate resource estimates, extraction methods, and operational costs.
• Safety & Regulation Compliance:
  • Ensure mining operations meet health, safety, and environmental regulations.
  • Implement risk assessments and safety procedures for workers and equipment.
• Operations Management:
  • Supervise mining processes, including drilling, blasting, excavation, and transport.
  • Optimize production efficiency and resource utilization.
• Equipment & Technology Oversight:
  • Select and oversee the maintenance of mining equipment and machinery.
  • Incorporate modern mining technologies (e.g., automation, GIS, remote sensing).
• Environmental Management:
  • Develop and implement strategies to minimize environmental impact.
  • Manage waste disposal, land reclamation, and water conservation plans.
• Team Coordination:
  • Collaborate with geologists, metallurgists, and other engineers.
  • Lead technical teams and train junior staff.
