Job summary

Ipsen in Deutschland sucht eine/n Medical Scientific Liaison - Onkologie (m/w/d). Die Position fokussiert sich auf die Identifikation und Entwicklung von Beziehungen zu nationalen und regionalen medizinischen KOLs gemäß Strategie des Medical Affairs und Ipsen.

Sie kommunizieren wissenschaftlich, unterstützen Publikationen, Trainings und cross-funktionale Teams und reisen ca. 70–80 %. Guter Deutsch/Englisch Business-Fluency sind Voraussetzung.

Qualifications

• Advanced Scientific, healthcare or medical degree (PharmD, PhD, MD) is required.
• Medical/paramedical Practice or Research career (hospital and/or hospital related, university research, pharmaceutical industry research or medical affairs)
• Previous holding of an MSL or related role with at least 2 years’ experience.
• Experience in delivery of scientific presentations and development of relationships with national/international Thought Leaders
• Demonstrated expertise in ability to synthesize and communicate medical information clearly
• Knowledge in data analysis and statistics as well as legal, regulatory, and compliance regulations and guidelines
• Teamplayer with solution-oriented approach and good communication skills
• Ability to travel ~ 70-80% (based on the size of respective geography)
• Business fluent in German and English

Responsibilities

• Identify and develop relationships with national and regional medical and scientific KOLs consistent with the strategy and objectives of Medical Affairs and overall Ipsen strategies
• Engage in scientific exchange and education about current and emerging therapies in a compliant fashion with KOLs (to include advisory boards, individual meetings, and congresses)
• Represent the company at specific continuing medical educational events, programs, medical meetings and scientific conventions
• Differentiate Ipsen as the valued scientific partner of choice through innovative initiatives, coordinated strategy, and scientific communication
• Provide appropriate scientific, clinical, and educational support for internal cross functional customers (including other members of the MSL team)
• Support medical publications as needed (abstracts, manuscripts, etc.)
• Support commercial operations by participating in Speaker and Representative Training
• Lead/participate on special project teams as necessary
• Support cross-functional teams to ensure operations are patient-focused, including rapidly responding to internal and external requests to discuss specific situations and challenges and provide medical affairs support to all stakeholders
