We are looking for a Medical Science Liaison Dermatology who is agile, driven by building strong relationships, with an innovative mindset to join our Patient Impact department in Germany.

About The Role

The MSL role is a field‑based scientific expert within the Immunology team focusing on dermatology. You will serve as UCB’s leading local scientific expert, engaging in scientific discussions, presentations, and unsolicited questions. You will participate in feasibility processes around new clinical studies, be the primary contact for investigator‑initiated research, donations, and grants, and develop and execute medical content for the local ecosystem plan. You will also build local medical plans, conduct advisory boards, and arrange scientific symposiums.

Who you’ll work with

As the MSL Dermatology, you will interact with national and international key opinion leaders (KOLs) and other healthcare professionals at various phases of the product life cycle. You will collaborate closely with an integrated cross‑functional team and report to the Field Medical Lead Dermatology.

What you’ll do
  • Agile and proactive identification and management of key scientific and medical influences based on local ecosystem dynamics
  • Exploration and identification of new sources of patient value by placing the holistic disease burden of people with chronic immune‑mediated inflammatory diseases (IMIDs) high on healthcare’s agenda
  • Manage and generate product/disease state data (Phase III/IV, IIS, audits, RWE, etc.)
  • Partner with key clinical KOLs, payers, patient organizations and patients to advance medical initiatives in defined clinical practice areas, driving optimal patient care
  • Share insights, innovation, opportunities and patient needs internally to the patient‑value units
  • Drive development of real‑world evidence in the local ecosystem and leverage the value of UCB solutions for patients to medical and payer communities
Qualifications
  • MSc. in Immunology, Life Sciences; PhD in immunology is a strong plus
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills in German and English (written and spoken)
  • Work experience as an MSL is a strong plus
  • Launch experience and experience in dermatology is a huge advantage
  • Proven track record working with biologics
  • Business acumen with a holistic view of the healthcare ecosystem
  • Great project‑management skills
