A biotechnology recruitment specialist seeks an experienced MSL / Senior MSL to launch a product across North Germany. The role allows for hybrid work and is initially contracting for 6 months, transitioning to a permanent position post-establishment of the German entity.

Company Overview

Our client is an American biotechnology company developing medicines to treat rare genetic disorders. As they expand their footprint in the European market, they are seeking a dynamic and experienced MSL / Senior MSL to spearhead the launch of their ground‑breaking product in Germany, the first market in their EU expansion strategy. This is an exciting opportunity to build and shape the company’s European commercial presence from the ground up.

Position Overview

The MSL / Senior MSL will be responsible for spearheading the commercial launch of our client’s product in the North of Germany. This individual will take a strategic and hands‑on approach to engaging external stakeholders and serving as a scientific ambassador and therapeutic area expert and will have a proven track record of launching products in Germany.

Must Haves
  • Proven experience in rare diseases.
  • 5+ years of MSL experience.
  • Advanced degree (MD, PhD, or PharmD).
  • Successful track record in launching products in Germany.
  • Proven ability to communicate complex scientific concepts clearly and effectively.
  • Experience in a small, fast‑growing biotechnology company is preferred.
  • Ability to navigate a field‑based role with travel across the North of Germany as required.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to work independently and adapt to a rapidly evolving environment.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Fluent in German and English.
  • Availability to start as soon as possible.
  • Please note : this is a contracting role for 6 months which will become a full‑time, permanent position once the German entity has been established.
Location

Field‑based in the North of Germany / Hybrid.
