Job summary

DANOBAT-OVERBECK GmbH in Germany seeks an experienced assembly and commissioning technician for grinding machines. You will assemble components, perform initial commissioning and testing, and optimize machine performance at customer sites.

The role requires vocational training in machining or mechatronics, several years of relevant experience, fluency in German and English, and a willingness to travel internationally for multi-day assignments.

• Preparation of machines for FAT/SAT with customers.
• Customer training in machine operation, programming and maintenance in German and English.

Job description

Your responsibilities:

• Assembly of components, machines and systems, including mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic components
• Initial commissioning, functional testing and optimization of individual assemblies and machines
• Machining of components and assemblies
• Inspection and documentation of individual assemblies and assembly steps
• Mechanical and/or electrical commissioning, functional testing and optimization of assemblies and machines
• Troubleshooting and repair of mechanical, electrical, electronic, pneumatic and hydraulic systems, both in-house and at customer sites
• Troubleshooting and diagnostics using Siemens Step 7 / TIA Portal
• Mechanical and/or electrical upgrades of existing machines
• Measurement of machine geometry and positioning accuracy using laser interferometry
• Preparation of machines, loading systems, measuring systems and other equipment for FAT/SAT with customers
• Conducting customer training on machine operation, programming and maintenance in German and English
• Carrying out assembly work, repairs, maintenance, process optimization and production support at customer sites and other locations

Requirements

• Several years of experience in the assembly and commissioning of grinding machines
• Good knowledge of control and drive technology
