Optimus Search is seeking a German-speaking Mechanical Simulation Engineer (MBS) for an initial six-month freelance contract in Germany. The role focuses on performing MBS simulations for dynamic mechanical systems and developing robust models for valve trains, crankshafts, gear trains, and drivetrains.

The ideal candidate will have strong MBS experience, AVL Excite proficiency, and a Mechanical Engineering degree, with fluent German and English.

Qualifikationen

• Experience with Multi-Body System (MBS) simulation.
• Strong knowledge of AVL Excite (essential).
• Experience with powertrain, crankshaft, valve train or drivetrain simulation.
• Mechanical Engineering degree or similar.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Fluent German and English; German essential.

Aufgaben

• Perform MBS simulations for dynamic mechanical systems.

• Analyse simulation results and provide technical recommendations.
• Support component testing and correlate simulation with physical test data.

We're looking for an experienced Mechanical Simulation Engineer (MBS) to join an exciting engineering programme on an initial 6-month freelance contract.

If you're an expert in Multi-Body System (MBS) simulation, AVL Excite, and powertrain dynamics, we'd love to hear from you.

Your Responsibilities

• Perform Multi-Body System (MBS) simulations for dynamic mechanical systems


• Develop and validate MBS models for valve trains, crankshafts, gear trains and drivetrains


• Analyse simulation results and provide technical recommendations


• Support component testing and correlate simulation with physical test data


• Work closely with Design, Durability, CFD/FEM and Project Management teams
