Job summary

Hodapp GmbH & Co. KG, based in Achern, Germany, seeks a skilled technician for the installation, commissioning support, and maintenance of doors and gates at customer sites. You will join a family-owned company with a long tradition of craftsmanship and innovations.

The role includes travel across the region and possibly nationwide, occasional weekend/night work, and participation in extensive training in fire protection and related projects.

Qualifications

• Completed vocational training in a craft/technical field (e.g. metalworker, locksmith, plant mechanic).
• Ideally, experience in assembling doors, gates, steel structures or similar products.
• Craftsmanship skills and an independent, reliable work ethic.
• Class B driving licence; BE/C/CE preferred; BE can be acquired with company support.
• Willingness to travel regionally and nationwide, including overnight stays.
• Willingness to work occasional weekends and nights.

Responsibilities

• Professionally install doors and gates and related components at customers' premises.
• Assist during commissioning and functional testing of installed systems.
• Perform repairs, maintenance and servicing on existing door and gate systems.
• Collaborate closely with project management and related departments.

Your responsibilities

• Professional installation of special doors and gates, as well as the associated components and fittings, directly at our customers' premises.
• Support during commissioning and functional testing of the installed systems.
• Carrying out repair, maintenance and servicing work on existing door and gate systems.
• Close collaboration with the project management and the adjacent specialist departments.

Your profile

• Completed vocational training in a craft or technical field, e.g. as a metalworker, locksmith, plant mechanic or in a comparable field.
• Ideally, professional experience in the assembly of doors, gates, steel structures or similar products.
• Craftsmanship skills as well as an independent and reliable work ethic.
• Driving licence class B, ideally also BE, C and CE (the acquisition of class BE can be done through us)
• Willingness to travel for regional and nationwide assignments including overnight stays.
• Willingness to work occasional weekends and nights.
