Job summary

Alignerr is seeking a Mechanical Engineering Expert — AI Content Specialist to help shape cutting-edge language models. You will design challenging problems across fluid dynamics, thermodynamics, and CAD/CAM, write gold-standard solutions, and audit AI outputs for technical accuracy.

• Pursuing or holding a Master’s or PhD in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a closely related field
• Strong foundational knowledge in solid mechanics, fluid mechanics, thermodynamics, CAD/CAM, or manufacturing processes
• Able to communicate complex technical concepts clearly and precisely in written form
• Detail-oriented — comfortable checking mathematical derivations, unit conversions, and physical system constraints
• No prior AI or data annotation experience required

Responsibilities

• Design Complex Engineering Problems — Craft advanced, multi-step problems spanning fluid dynamics, thermodynamics, FEA, heat transfer, kinematics, and material science that expose the edges of AI capability
• Author Ground-Truth Solutions — Write rigorous, step-by-step technical solutions that serve as the benchmark for AI learning and evaluation
• Audit AI Reasoning — Review AI-generated outputs including CAD logic, thermodynamic derivations, and material specifications for technical accuracy, engineering standards compliance (ASME, ISO), and safety
• Refine AI Thinking — Identify logical errors such as incorrect force distributions, energy conservation violations, or flawed material assumptions, and provide structured feedback to improve model reasoning

Who You Are
