Alignerr is seeking a Biology Researcher with a Masters or PhD to help train AI models in genetics, biotechnology, and bioinformatics. This is a fully remote, hourly contract open to candidates worldwide who can commit 10–40 hours per week and deliver rigorous scientific analysis on flexible schedules.

You will tackle real-world biology problems, translate complex science into precise prompts, and collaborate asynchronously with AI researchers to improve model reasoning.

Qualificações

• Masters or PhD in Biology or a closely related field
• Deep expertise in genetics, biotechnology, or bioinformatics
• Comfortable coding in Python or R for research or analytical tasks
• Exceptionally clear written communicator — you can translate complex science into precise, readable language
• Detail-oriented, self-directed, and reliable when working independently
• Fluent in English

Who You Are

• Masters or PhD in Biology or a closely related field (Genetics, Molecular Biology, Bioinformatics, Biotechnology, etc.)
• Deep expertise in one or more of: genetics, biotechnology, or bioinformatics
• Comfortable coding in Python or R for research or analytical tasks
• Exceptionally clear written communicator — you can translate complex science into precise, readable language
• Detail-oriented, self-directed, and reliable when working independently
• Fluent in English

Nice to Have

• Prior experience with data annotation, data quality assessment, or evaluation systems
• Background in science writing, academic publishing, or peer review
• Familiarity with AI tools or large language model evaluation workflows
• Experience designing or assessing problem sets, curricula, or research exercises
