Designer Group is seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineer to join our Data Centre project delivery team in Germany.

You will perform design reviews, develop alternative solutions, and oversee procurement and commissioning activities for mission-critical data centre packages. The role requires hands-on engineering experience and a collaborative approach within an international project team. You will liaise with clients and suppliers to ensure compliance with European standards.

Formación

• A Level 7/8 degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years' experience in mechanical engineering on Data Centre projects.
• Good knowledge of mechanical standards within Europe.
• Ability to work in a team and take initiative.

Responsabilidades

• Undertake full design review of drawings, specs and schedules for compliance.
• Develop engineering alternative solutions with calculations and sketches for client approval.
• Review coordinated construction drawings and documentation.
• Prepare RFIs and issue them to the client.
• Review specialist supplier packages for compliance with project specs.
• Prepare and monitor procurement schedule with the procurement team.
• Prepare and monitor technical submittals for client approval.
• Review BCAR preliminary inspection plan and coordinate with quality team.
• Monitor LEED and BREEAM requirements and submittals as required.
• Prepare operation and maintenance manuals.
• Assist with client demonstrations.
• Attend commissioning stage and provide input.

As our Data Centre business continues to grow in Germany, we are seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineer to join our project delivery team.

This is an opportunity to be involved in significant mechanical packages on major mission-critical data centre projects, working within an experienced international engineering and construction team.

Overview of duties

• Undertake a full design review of drawings, specifications and schedules to ensure compliance with the applicable standards and industry guides.
• Responsible for developing engineering alternative solutions, including detailed calculations and sketches for client approval.
• Review of the coordinated construction drawings and documentation.
• Prepare RFI’s and issue to the client.
• Detailed review of specialist supplier packages for compliance with project specification and applicable industry standards.
• Prepare and monitor procurement schedule in conjunction with the procurement team.
• Prepare and monitor technical submittals for approval by the client.
• Review BCAR preliminary inspection plan and coordinate with the quality team.
• Monitor LEED and BREEAM requirements and submittals as required.
• Preparation of operation and maintenance manuals.
• Assistance with client demonstrations.
• Review and provide attendance during commissioning stage.

• A Level 7/8 Degree in Mechanical Engineering or similar.
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in mechanical engineering on Data Centre projects
• Strong understanding of mechanical systems from a design or construction perspective.
• Capable of working as part of a team and on own initiative.
• Good knowledge of the current mechanical standards within Ireland and Europe
