Evergreen Talent Group seeks a Mechanical Engineer for a major hyperscale data centre project in Berlin. You will support mechanical package delivery, review drawings and specifications, and coordinate with BIM, electrical and commissioning teams to ensure safe, efficient completion.

The role requires experience on complex projects, strong knowledge of HVAC and cooling systems, and the ability to read technical drawings.

Qualifikationen

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
• Experience on Data Centre or other technically complex projects.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical building services and cooling systems.
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings, schematics and technical specifications.
• Experience in Tier 1 contractor environment is advantageous.

About the Opportunity

A leading Tier 1 Contractor is seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineer to join its project team in Berlin, delivering a large-scale Hyperscale Data Centre.

The successful candidate will support the engineering, coordination, installation and commissioning of complex mechanical systems, working closely with Construction, BIM, QA/QC, Commercial and Commissioning teams to ensure works are delivered safely, efficiently and in line with project requirements.

Key Responsibilities of the Mechanical Engineer

• Support the delivery of mechanical packages across the Data Centre project.

• Support installation of HVAC, chilled water, pipework, ventilation, drainage and associated plant.

• Assist with procurement, equipment approvals and vendor coordination.
• Support QA/QC inspections, snagging and defect close-out.
• Assist with pressure testing, flushing, commissioning and final handover activities.

• Ensure compliance with project EHS and quality standards.

Necessary Requirements of the Mechanical Engineer:

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
• Previous experience working on Data Centres, Pharmaceutical, Semiconductor, Industrial or other technically complex projects.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical building services and cooling systems.
• Experience with HVAC, chilled water, pipework, ventilation and associated plant.
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings, schematics and technical specifications.
• Strong coordination, communication and problem-solving skills.
• Experience working within a Tier 1 contractor environment is advantageous.
• Data Centre experience is highly desirable.
• Full working rights to operate in Germany / Europe are preferred.
