Job summary

Tesla Germany GmbH is seeking a Material Planner at the Berlin site to ensure continuous availability of spare parts, maintenance materials, and consumables for Facilities Operations.

You will own planning processes, forecast consumption, and collaborate with maintenance, engineering, workplace, and logistics teams to optimize inventory and supplier performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Supply Chain, Business Admin, Industrial Engineering, or related field.
• Experience in material planning, procurement, or spare parts management.
• Strong Excel skills and ability to adapt to ERP/CMMS systems.
• Analytical, data-driven, and able to prioritize.
• Experience managing supplier relationships and negotiations.
• Fluent in English and German.

Responsibilities

• Ensure material availability for Facilities Operations through daily planning, ordering, and management of spare parts.
• Own and execute material planning processes including min/max, lead times, restocking, and inventory accuracy.
• Develop spare parts planning and forecasting with internal customers across maintenance, engineering, workplace, and logistics.
• Implement planning strategies in line with requirements and drive improvements to tools and templates.
• Review supplier quotations, process requisitions, create tenders and price comparisons.
• Track open orders, correct deviations, and establish alternatives for on-time delivery.
• Maintain inventory and master data; report stock, consumption, shortages; manage supplier relationships.

You will use your technical and commercial skills to plan, order, monitor and continuously optimize inventory, so maintenance and facility operations never wait on material.

What You’ll Do

• Ensure material availability for Facilities Operations through daily planning, ordering, and management of spare parts, consumables, and maintenance materials
• Own and execute material planning processes, including min/max levels, lead times, restocking logic, and inventory accuracy
• Develop and improve spare parts planning and consumption forecasting in collaboration with internal customers across maintenance, engineering, workplace, and waste & logistics
• Implement planning strategies in line with internal requirements, regulations, and operational changes, and drive continuous improvement of planning tools, processes, and templates
• Review, analyse, and co-negotiate supplier quotations; process purchase requisitions and create tenders and price comparisons to justify spend
• Track open orders, take corrective action on deviations, and establish alternatives to ensure on-time delivery and 100% material availability
• Maintain accurate inventory and master data, report on stock levels, consumption, coverage, and shortages, and manage supplier relationships to resolve quality issues and delivery delays

What You’ll Bring

• Relevant professional experience in material planning, procurement, or spare parts management within a manufacturing, industrial, or facilities environment
• Completed degree in Supply Chain, Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, or a related field (or a comparable vocational qualification, e.g. Industriekaufmann/-frau) with strong practical experience
• Strong Excel skills and the ability to quickly adapt to ERP, CMMS, and procurement systems
• Structured, data-driven working style with strong analytical and prioritisation skills
• Experience managing supplier relationships, including quotation review, negotiation, and vendor performance tracking
• Ability to manage purchase requisitions, tenders, and cross-departmental coordination in a fast-paced environment
• Fluent English and German
