A leading research organization in Oberhausen is seeking a Mechanical Engineering Student Assistant to support research in electrochemical energy storage. Responsibilities include the design and optimization of seals for energy storage systems, using CAD and FEM simulation. The Electrochemical Energy Storage Department combines material development, cell and stack design, and system testing for the development and validation of electrochemical systems such as fuel cells and bipolar flow and non-flow batteries. An interdisciplinary team of engineers, chemists, and materials scientists works together to optimize stack-based systems with a focus on efficiency, power density, service life, and cost-effectiveness.
