More customers than ever are choosing to shop for groceries on Amazon - and in Germany, we're starting an exciting new chapter. Amazon is launching Same Day Grocery in Germany, and we're looking for a Trade Planning and Promotions Manager to build the customer promotion plan from the ground up.
No two days look the same, but here's what you can expect: You'll start by reviewing promotional performance data and customer insight - identifying what's resonating with German grocery shoppers, what's not, and where the next opportunity lies. You'll use these insights to build and refine the trade plan, shaping a promotional calendar that balances seasonal moments, customer trends, and commercial objectives. You'll work closely with the wider marketing team to ensure every promotion featured in customer communications is relevant, compelling, and drives the right behaviours. You'll partner with merchandising teams to execute promotions right first time, and collaborate with finance and vendor managers to ensure strong ROI on every campaign.Because this is a new launch, you'll spend significant time optimising processes, establishing the promotional rhythm, and creating the frameworks that will scale as the business grows. You'll connect regularly with your counterparts in the UK and across Europe, contributing to a community of learning and bringing back ideas to test in Germany. This role suits someone who is energised by building from scratch, comfortable with ambiguity, and confident influencing cross-functional partners without direct authority. You'll need to balance strategic thinking with hands‑on execution as part of a collaborative team moving at pace.
The Amazon Fresh Marketing team is on a mission to create innovative and exciting reasons for customers to shop with us time and time again. We're an established, high-performing team across Europe - and in Germany, we're building something new from the ground up.
You'll drive the plan in Germany and be part of a collaborative group of marketers who combine commercial instinct with data‑driven decision‑making to shape how customers experience grocery promotions. You'll work closely with category, finance, and customer insight partners, and connect regularly with EU counterparts in the UK, Italy, Spain, and France as part of a community of learning.
We value experimentation, ownership, and pace. If you're energised by building new programmes and thrive in a team that moves fast and learns together, this is the place for you.
