Job summary

FormFactor, Inc. in Germany is seeking a Senior Sustaining Engineer to lead a multi-disciplinary team responsible for released products in production and field support.

You will drive root-cause analysis, field issue resolution, MTBF tracking, and cost-down/DFx initiatives to improve reliability and manufacturability. Responsibilities

• Lead the multi-disciplinary sustaining engineering team (mechanical, electrical, software, systems).
• Own the customer change process for Triton released products and participate in NPI handoffs.
• Conduct field issue resolution, root-cause analysis, and corrective action; track reliability metrics (MTBF).
• Drive cost-down and design-for-manufacturability programs on released products; manage component obsolescence and supplier changes.

Direct experience with silicon photonics, wafer probe, or related test and measurement technologiesExposure to reliability engineering methods (FMEA, accelerated life testing, MTBF modeling) and DFx practicesCore CompetenciesCan recruit strong senior engineers into the functionBrings calm, structured judgment to customer escalations and productionMaintains strong partnerships with the NPI.
