Rothamsted Research invites applications for a Management Accountant to deliver high-quality financial and management accounting support across RRES and RoSS. You will work with the Finance Manager to prepare management accounts, support month-end processes, produce accruals and prepayments, and perform balance sheet reconciliations.

This role offers flexibility with working patterns and opportunities to contribute to continuous improvement and robust reporting across the organization.

Qualifikationen

• Experience of month-end processes and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills.
• Able to build effective working relationships and manage competing priorities.
• Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) or QBE.

Join Rothamsted Research as a Management Accountant and play a key role in delivering high-quality financial and management accounting support across both Rothamsted Research (RRES) and its trading subsidiary, Rothamsted Scientific Services (RoSS).

Working closely with the Finance Manager, you will be responsible for preparing management accounts for RRES and RoSS and supporting the preparation of RRES month-end processes, producing accruals and prepayments, completing balance sheet reconciliations, reviewing financial transactions, and supporting the annual budget and audit processes.

Essential skills and experience

• Experience of month-end processes and balance sheet reconciliations

Desirable skills and experience

• Experience working within a charity, not-for-profit, research institute, or grant-funded environment.
• Familiarity of restricted and unrestricted grant funding.
• Experience using Business World Unit4 ERP.
