HelloFresh is seeking a senior leader to define and own the ML systems behind personalization. You will manage end-to-end pipelines, training workflows, model serving, and experimentation tooling, ensuring production readiness with latency, scalability, and observability in mind.

You will collaborate with Product and Engineering leadership to shape the roadmap, mentor engineers, and raise the bar for production ML practices across the organization.

• Set the technical direction for the ML systems behind menu personalization, owning the end-to-end stack of feature pipelines, training workflows, model serving, experimentation tooling, and infrastructure;
• Take research and experiments to reliable production systems that meet latency, scalability, and observability requirements;
• Shape the personalization roadmap with Product and Engineering leadership, using data and user evidence;
• Operate and improve production systems through instrumentation and continuous learning;
• Raise the technical bar through architecture reviews, mentorship, and strong production ML practices;
• Shape long-term architecture and make platform decisions with multi-year impact;
• Drive engineering excellence beyond Menu Personalization by setting standards adopted by other ML and data teams;
• Sync with peers across HelloFresh on best practices and contribute to company-wide engineering initiatives advancing ML and data engineering.

Требования:

• 8+ Years of experience building and operating production ML systems;
• Track record of technical leadership at scale;
• Experience making architectural decisions that remained effective over multiple years and influenced teams beyond the candidate's own team;
• Fluency in Python and Spark;
• Fluency in Go, Kafka, and Kubernetes;
• Hands-on experience with pipelines, model serving, and observability at scale;
• Statistical literacy for designing reliable experiments and evaluating model quality;
• Operational judgment to diagnose system issues, identify root causes, and build debuggable systems under real load;
• Hands-on experience with AI tooling such as Claude Code, Cursor, and Copilot, including daily use of AI agents;
• Product sense and ability to connect technical decisions with business value;
• Strong ownership and bias to ship;
• Nice to have: production experience with recommender systems or large-scale personalization.

Compensation is heavily weighted toward equity through Virtual Stock Option (VSO) and Restricted Stock Unit (RSU) plans; Discount on HelloFresh meal kits; Flexible Hybrid work requires a minimum of 2 days in the office per week, with most teams working from the office 2–3 days per week.
