Bertling in Hamburg is seeking a Machine Learning Engineer (m/f/x) to join the International department on a permanent basis. You will develop, train, and deploy ML models for logistics-focused use cases, working with data scientists, software engineers, and business stakeholders to translate challenges into scalable technical solutions.

Responsibilities include building data pipelines, productionizing models, and contributing to ML platform design, APIs, and data products.

Formación

• Degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering or related field.
• Professional experience developing and deploying ML solutions.
• Solid understanding of ML concepts, model evaluation, statistics, and data prep.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms and ML infrastructure.
• Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

The successful applicant will be involved with:

• Develop, train, evaluate, and deploy machine learning models for real-world business and logistics use cases
• Work with data scientists, software engineers, business stakeholders, and logistics experts to translate business challenges into scalable technical solutions
• Build reliable data pipelines and feature engineering processes for training and production environments
• Productionize machine learning models using appropriate software engineering
• Contribute to the design of machine learning platforms, APIs, and data products
• Document models, assumptions, interfaces, processes, and results clearly
• Support the adoption of best practices in machine learning, software development, testing, version control, and deployment
• Stay up to date with developments in artificial intelligence, machine learning, cloud technologies, and responsible AI

The successful applicant will have/be:

• Degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering, or a related field
• Professional experience developing and deploying machine learning solutions
• Solid understanding of machine learning concepts, model evaluation, statistics, and data preparation
• Familiarity with cloud platforms and modern data or machine learning infrastructure
