Symrise AG is seeking an M&A Manager - Post-Merger Integration Focus (m/f/d) to lead end-to-end PMI initiatives across our global portfolio, spanning Taste, Nutrition & Health and Scent & Care. The role is based at the Holzminden headquarters or at our sites in France, with hybrid work options.

You will harmonize PMI methodologies, drive synergy realization, and coordinate cross-functional integration teams across operations, finance, HR, IT, supply chain, R&D and commercial.

Qualifikationen

• 3+ years in post-merger integration and/or separations, M&A advisory/consulting, transformation, or strategy.
• Proven experience managing complex international projects.
• Strong analytical and project management skills.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
• High cultural awareness and experience with international teams.
• Fluent in English; German or French is an advantage.
• Proactive, structured, and comfortable in fast-paced environments.

Your Role

As M&A Manager - Post-Merger Integration Focus (m/f/d), you will play a critical role in ensuring the success of Symrise's mergers and acquisitions which spans the entire portfolio of Symrise, from food & beverages as well as pet food in Taste, Nutrition & Health but also fragrances and cosmetic ingredients in Scent & Care. You will lead the planning and execution of post-merger integration (PMI) activities, drive synergy realization, and work closely with global stakeholders to enable smooth transitions. While the role has a strong PMI focus, it also includes providing support and hands-on assistance across the entire M&A lifecycle - from early-stage evaluation and due diligence until transaction signing / closing.

In addition, you will take the lead in harmonizing Symrise's group-wide PMI methodology, shaping best practices and ensuring consistency across all business units.

This is an exciting opportunity for a highly analytical, collaborative, and globally minded project manager ready to work at the intersection of strategy, operations, and transformation.

This requisition is a fulltime position to be located at our global Headquarters in Holzminden, Germany or at our sites in Clichy and Rennes, France.

• Lead and execute end-to-end operational transaction projects, including post-merger integrations but also carve-outs.
• Develop and manage integration roadmaps across functions such as operations, finance, HR, IT, supply chain, R&D, and commercial.
• Identify and track synergy potentials, set KPIs, and ensure timely delivery of integration milestones.
• Support M&A due diligence processes, especially with regard to integration feasibility and costs.
• Act as the central coordination point for cross-functional integration teams.
• Prepare executive-level updates and facilitate steering committee meetings.
• Lead Symrise's initiative to standardize and enhance its global PMI approach and tools.
• Analyze integration outcomes, extract learnings, and continuously improve PMI best practices.
• Support, on an as-needed basis, further strategic transformation projects such as carve-outs, divestitures, and partnerships.

Your Profile

• Degree in Business Administration, Strategy, Finance, Economics, Chemical/Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
• At least three years of professional experience in post-merger integration and/or separations, M&A advisory/consulting, transformation, or strategy.
• Proven experience managing complex international projects.
• Strong analytical and project management skills.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
• High cultural awareness and experience working with international teams.
• Fluent in English; German or French is an advantage.
• Proactive, structured, and comfortable working in fast-paced environments.

This role requires extensive international travel and a willingness to spend significant time on-site at the location of where integration and/or carve-out projects materialize.
