  • Syndicating and underwriting syndicated or bilateral loans – on a secured or unsecured basis – for financial institutions and corporates across the globe, with a strong focus on the German Lending market including German LBO mid‑market.
  • Reinforcing the originate‑to‑distribute model and sourcing secondary market assets for the bank’s portfolio while maintaining constant market contact with other banks.
  • Using a variety of different hedging and de‑risking techniques, including bank syndications, outright sales, insurance solutions, CDS, securitization and repackaging, to provide liquidity and eliminate / mitigate obligor (cross‑border) risks.
  • Supporting the team in all reporting duties (e.g., for Compliance, AFC, CRM, RPM, Trade & Syndications, etc.).
  • Interacting very closely with other teams internally (e.g., Lending, Credit Solutions, Trust and Advisory & Services, Coverage, CRM, Operations, all other distribution hubs globally) and externally with all types of investors such as banks, funds, brokers and insurance companies.
  • Accountable Client Owner for insurance companies as the prime contact for brokers and de‑risking partners.
Your skills and experiences
  • Fluent German and English speaking and writing language skills.
  • Substantial experience in active distribution of assets with strong knowledge of loan products and structures including LBO mid‑market.
  • Track record in syndicating loans with a good understanding of the global investor market, including but not limited to the German market.
  • Operational knowledge of the primary & secondary market investors landscape (FIs, Insurers, Institutional Investors / Alternative Investors) and respective processes.
  • Team player – shares market information, and excellent organization skills, with strong capacity for autonomy – able to work alone under stressful conditions.
  • Excellent client relationship skills; ability to build and maintain strong relationships and use this to enhance distribution capabilities.
