Zusammenfassung

Workwise sucht einen Linux System Administrator DDoS (m/w/d) in Vollzeit für den Standort Karlsruhe. Sie administrieren hochverfügbare Linux-Infrastrukturen, optimieren DDoS-Defence-Plattformen und automatisieren Abläufe mit Ansible und Python.

Sie analysieren Angriffe, überwachen Systeme und evaluieren neue Technologien wie Docker/Kubernetes, ELK-Stack und ClickHouse, um den Stack zukunftssicher zu halten.

Qualifikationen

• Mehrjährige Erfahrung in der Verwaltung komplexer Linux-Systeme.
• Erfahrung mit Nginx als Reverse Proxy oder WAF.

Aufgaben

• Verwaltung und Fehlersuche einer hochverfügbaren, verteilten Linux-Infrastruktur und On-Call-Routine.
• Weiterentwicklung der DDoS-Abwehrplattform durch Konfiguration von Nginx als WAF.
• Automatisierung der Infrastruktur mit Tools wie Ansible und Python.
• Überwachung von Systemleistung, Analyse von Angriffen und Verbesserung der Visualisierung (ELK/ClickHouse).
• Evaluierung neuer Technologien wie Docker/Kubernetes zur Modernisierung des Stack.

What can you expect?

• You administer and troubleshoot our highly available, distributed Linux infrastructures and actively participate in the on-call rotation.
• You develop and optimize our DDoS defense platforms by configuring Nginx as a WAF and deploying countermeasures using BGP Flowspec.
• You consistently drive the automation of our infrastructure using tools like Ansible and Python to make our processes leaner and more reliable.
• You monitor system performance, analyze complex security attacks, and enhance our visualization tools, potentially with the ELK Stack or ClickHouse.
• You evaluate, test, and implement new technologies and products, exploring areas like containerization with Docker and Kubernetes to keep our stack cutting-edge.

What should you bring along?

• You have several years of experience in the administration of complex distributed Linux systems
• You have proven experience in configuring and operating Nginx as a reverse proxy or web application firewall
• You possess hands-on experience with the deployment of BGP Flowspec and Anycast routing on Linux systems and network routers
• You have a strong passion for automation using tools like Ansible, Puppet, and Python to eliminate repetitive manual tasks
• You have strong analytical skills to evaluate DDoS attacks, implement effective countermeasures, and continuously develop our defense platforms
• You have initial experience with technologies such as Docker, Kubernetes, ClickHouse, or the ELK Stack, which is beneficial
