Zusammenfassung

Workwise sucht einen Linux-Systemadministrator (m/w/d) mit Fokus auf DDoS-Abwehr und Nginx für den Einsatzort Karlsruhe (76137). Sie verantworten den Betrieb hochverfügbarer Linux-Infrastrukturen, überwachen Sicherheitsereignisse und optimieren unsere DDoS-Abwehrplattformen.

Zu Ihren Aufgaben gehören die Automatisierung der Infrastruktur mit Ansible und Python, das Testen neuer Technologien wie Docker/Kubernetes sowie die Analyse komplexer Angriffe.

Qualifikationen

• Mehrjährige Erfahrung in der Administration komplexer Linux-Systeme.
• Nginx als Reverse Proxy oder Web Application Firewall konfiguriert/betreibt.
• Erfahrung mit Deployment von BGP Flowspec und Anycast Routing.
• Automatisierung mit Ansible, Puppet und Python zur Reduktion manueller Tasks.
• Analytische Fähigkeiten zur Bewertung von DDoS-Angriffen und zur Weiterentwicklung der Verteidigungsplattformen.
• Erste Erfahrungen mit Docker/Kubernetes, ELK Stack oder ClickHouse sind vorteilhaft.

Aufgaben

• Administration und Troubleshooting hochverfügbarer Linux-Infrastrukturen; Teilnahme am On-Call-Rhythmus.
• Entwicklung und Optimierung unserer DDoS-Abwehrplattformen durch Nginx als WAF und Countermeasures.
• Automatisierung der Infrastruktur mit Ansible und Python zur Effizienzsteigerung.
• Überwachung der Systemleistung, Analyse komplexer Angriffe und Erweiterung von Visualisierungstools (ELK/ClickHouse).
• Bewertung, Test und Implementierung neuer Technologien (Containerisierung mit Docker/Kubernetes).

What can you expect?

• You administer and troubleshoot our highly available, distributed Linux infrastructures and actively participate in the on-call rotation.
• You develop and optimize our DDoS defense platforms by configuring Nginx as a WAF and deploying countermeasures using BGP Flowspec.
• You consistently drive the automation of our infrastructure using tools like Ansible and Python to make our processes leaner and more reliable.
• You monitor system performance, analyze complex security attacks, and enhance our visualization tools, potentially with the ELK Stack or ClickHouse.
• You evaluate, test, and implement new technologies and products, exploring areas like containerization with Docker and Kubernetes to keep our stack cutting-edge.

What should you bring along?

• You have several years of experience in the administration of complex distributed Linux systems
• You have proven experience in configuring and operating Nginx as a reverse proxy or web application firewall
• You possess hands-on experience with the deployment of BGP Flowspec and Anycast routing on Linux systems and network routers
• You have a strong passion for automation using tools like Ansible, Puppet, and Python to eliminate repetitive manual tasks
• You have strong analytical skills to evaluate DDoS attacks, implement effective countermeasures, and continuously develop our defense platforms
• You have initial experience with technologies such as Docker, Kubernetes, ClickHouse, or the ELK Stack, which is beneficial
