Workwise sucht für Karlsruhe eine/n Linux-Systemadministrator/in zur Betreuung hochverfügbarer Linux-Infrastrukturen und zur Weiterentwicklung der DDoS-Abwehr. Sie konfigurieren Nginx als WAF, setzen BGP Flowspec ein und automatisieren Prozesse mit Ansible und Python.

Sie arbeiten in einem hybriden Arbeitsmodell, profitieren von modernen Büros und Weiterbildungsmöglichkeiten. Erfahrungen mit Docker/Kubernetes sowie ELK-Stack oder ClickHouse sind von Vorteil.

Qualifikationen

• Mehrere Jahre Erfahrung in der Administration komplexer verteilter Linux-Systeme.
• Erfahrung mit Nginx als Reverse Proxy bzw. Web Application Firewall.
• Hands-on-Erfahrung mit Deployment von BGP Flowspec und Anycast-Routing auf Linux-Systemen.
• Starke Automatisierungsaffinität mit Tools wie Ansible, Puppet und Python.
• Analytische Fähigkeiten zur Bewertung von DDoS-Angriffen und Weiterentwicklung der Abwehr.
• Grundkenntnisse in Docker, Kubernetes, ClickHouse oder ELK Stack sind von Vorteil.

Aufgaben

• Administration und Troubleshooting hochverfügbarer, verteilter Linux-Infrastrukturen.
• Entwicklung und Optimierung von DDoS-Abwehrplattformen durch Nginx-WAF-Konfiguration und BGP Flowspec.

• You administer and troubleshoot our highly available, distributed Linux infrastructures and actively participate in the on-call rotation.
• You develop and optimize our DDoS defense platforms by configuring Nginx as a WAF and deploying countermeasures using BGP Flowspec.
• You consistently drive the automation of our infrastructure using tools like Ansible and Python to make our processes leaner and more reliable.

What should you bring along?

• You have several years of experience in the administration of complex distributed Linux systems
• You have proven experience in configuring and operating Nginx as a reverse proxy or web application firewall
• You possess hands‑on experience with the deployment of BGP Flowspec and Anycast routing on Linux systems and network routers
• You have a strong passion for automation using tools like Ansible, Puppet, and Python to eliminate repetitive manual tasks
• You have strong analytical skills to evaluate DDoS attacks, implement effective countermeasures, and continuously develop our defense platforms
